Job Role
Moving household and office furniture and other items to new premises or via storage.
- Working in small through to large teams
- Role and Responsibilities;
- Driving Vehicles up to a HGV category
- Maintaining and complying with all company and legislation requirements
- Manage and control small moves/projects, controlling and acting in a supervisory manner during day to day activities.
- Educating, training and developing other team members in delivery emphasising best practice, quality and standards
- Promoting company core standards and values
- Assisting the management of external contractors during delivery
- Household removals or relocations
- Office removals or relocations
- Taking goods into or out of storage
- Large specialist projects such as moving hospital, library or school equipment
- Moving specialist fine art and furniture
- Day to Day;
- Safely packaging items before removal or storage
- Wrap & protect furniture into special wrappings and packing cases for shipping overseas
- As a specialist packer, you might go to a location before the move to wrap and pack delicate items, like china, glass, artwork and antiques
- Using packaging to protect fragile items such as computers or antiques
- Taking apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal
- Taking down curtains and lifting carpets if needed
- Removing doors, door frames or windows to get large pieces of furniture in or out of a building
- Packing items, loading them into your vehicle and securing them safely
- Checking that all goods are secure before driving off
- Driving to the new location, unloading the items, reassembling large items and placing them where the customer wants them

- Working Hours
