We are currently seeking a relief service delivery driver to support the delivery and collection of company stock between customer sites and the plant. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with transport legislation while delivering a reliable, high-quality service to our customers. A Class 2 driving licence and valid CPC is required to apply for this role.
As a Relief Service Delivery Driver, you will provide flexible cover across delivery routes, supporting the transport operation and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading vehicles and placing stock into designated areas at customer sites
- Ensuring vehicles are stocked with sufficient sundry items, such as repair labels and bags
- Collecting and delivering items in line with route documentation, including loading and emptying on-premises lockers and exchanging dust control mats
- Accurately completing all required paperwork and delivery documentation
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with customers and acting as a key liaison between customers and the business
- Supporting the Transport Manager by covering routes for absent drivers as required
- Undertaking ad-hoc duties to support the wider transport and service delivery team
