Join Johnson’s Dry Cleaners' family, part of the Timpson Group, a renowned high street service retailer. We seek an enthusiastic and talented tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate must have expert sewing and alteration skills, excellent customer service, and the flexibility to work at multiple Johnsons branches.

Location: St Albans
Job Type: Permanent Full Time
Pay: Starting at £12.75 per hour, increasing to £12.80 per hour following a successful trial period. You also have the opportunity to earn an uncapped weekly bonus.
Hours: 40 hours over 5 days, including weekends, with some overtime available when trained.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be to effectively support the Area Manager and branches in the Area with a Repairs and Alteration service.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • You will be required to carry out all types of alterations and repairs working:
    • Shortening and lengthening all types of garments
    • Taking in or letting out garments to adjust the size
    • Replace broken zippers in garments
    • Other related repair / alterations work
    • Curtain shortening
  • Help serve customers in the branch and discuss their needs including fittings
  • As part of your job role, you will be expected to complete an act of kindness for customers or colleagues every day.
