We are seeking a talented individual to join us as Van Driver to strengthen our Transport team.
The Role:
- Carry out deliveries to hotels as and when requested by the Transport Manager and/or offices.
- Maintaining Vans on a daily/weekly basis and ensuring that vehicles are always clean and road worthy/legal.
- Maintaining regular and constant contact with the Transport Manager and/or office.
- Delivering and collecting clean and soiled linen, this will involve manual handling hamper bags up and down stairs at delivery points.
- At all times you are expected to represent the Company in a professional manner, being polite and courteous towards all customers.
- Keeping the inside of your vehicle clean and dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided in the yard.
- Ensuring that vehicles are always left overnight at the production facility as company insurance requires all vehicles to be left in secure premises.
- Completing a daily safety check on your vehicle prior to leaving the depot to check key maintenance issues including tyres, levels and lights.
- Wear Hi-Vis jacket and other safety equipment on site and at customer premises.
- You will ensure that Yard Safety is of paramount importance and work with line management to challenge any Safety concerns or issues.
Work with the transport team to manage.
