We are looking for a highly versatile, professional and self-motivated individual, who will be part of the production team involved in a dynamic and varied role helping to support the smooth running of one of our laundries. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment.
The Company: Johnsons Hotel Linen, which specialises in supplying the corporate 4-star market and the budget hotel sector, is seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Production Shift Supervisor in a busy and challenging environment. This is very much a hands-on role, in which you will provide vital support to the business and contribute to the smooth running of the organisation.
The Role:
- Early Shift: Working 4 on 2 off shift pattern, 6am start. Finish times vary due to the needs of production.
- Late Shift: Working a 5 on 2 off shift pattern, Sunday - Thursday, 5pm start. Finish times vary due to the needs of production.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring customer requirements are completed on time.
- Maximising departmental resources wherever possible (machinery/labour/materials).
- Taking employee targets on an hourly basis ensuring company KPI targets are achieved daily and reporting any problems immediately to your Shift Manager.
- Motivating staff by giving regular feedback, keeping staff informed, and listening and responding appropriately to staff and production issues.
- Ensuring good communications and working relationships between staff and management.
- Adhering to the company health and safety policy at all times in the department.
- Dealing with all department queries in a timely manner.
- Identifying and overseeing training requirements.
- Maintaining machinery correctly and notifying engineering and shift manager of any issues as required.
- Keeping accurate records related to employee performance, development & productivity.
- Keeping work area clean, tidy, safe and secure at all times.
- Carrying out any reasonable request made by management.
- Wearing and using uniform, Personal Protective Equipment and handling aids, where supplied, at all times for all relevant tasks.
- Complying with Company Policy on Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
- Attending training courses as required.
- Maintaining confidentiality of Company and Customer business.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Pay: Early Shift £14.15 per hour. Late Shift £14.35 per hour.
