We are looking for a highly versatile, professional and self-motivated individual, who will be part of the production team involved in a dynamic and varied role helping to support the smooth running of one of our laundries. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment.

The Company: Johnsons Hotel Linen, which specialises in supplying the corporate 4-star market and the budget hotel sector, is seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Production Shift Supervisor in a busy and challenging environment. This is very much a hands-on role, in which you will provide vital support to the business and contribute to the smooth running of the organisation.

The Role:

  • Early Shift: Working 4 on 2 off shift pattern, 6am start. Finish times vary due to the needs of production.
  • Late Shift: Working a 5 on 2 off shift pattern, Sunday - Thursday, 5pm start. Finish times vary due to the needs of production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer requirements are completed on time.
  • Maximise departmental resources wherever possible (machinery/labour/materials).
  • Take employee targets on an hourly basis ensuring company KPI targets are achieved daily and report any problems immediately to your Shift Manager.
  • Motivate staff by giving regular feedback, keeping staff informed, and listening and responding appropriately to staff and production issues.
  • Ensure good communications and working relationships between staff and management.
  • Adhere to the company health and safety policy at all times in the department.
  • Deal with all department queries in a timely manner.
  • Identify and oversee training requirements.
  • Ensure machinery is maintained correctly, notifying engineering and shift manager of any issues as required.
  • Keep accurate records related to employee performance, development & productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, safe, and secure work area at all times.
  • Carry out any reasonable request made by management.
  • Wear and use uniform, Personal Protective Equipment, and handling aids, where supplied, at all times for all relevant tasks.
  • Comply with Company Policy on Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
  • Attend training courses as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Company and Customer business.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Pay:

  • Early Shift: £14.15 per hour.
  • Late Shift: £14.35 per hour.
