Looking for a workshop with strong Service Advisor support where you can earn well, stay busy, and be recognised for your work? We’re recruiting an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Ford Sutton Coldfield.

  • £36,000 - £39,000 basic salary (depending on experience)

The role:

  • Carrying out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding across a range of vehicles
  • Using modern diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems
  • Identifying and resolving complex electrical and mechanical issues
  • Supporting the workshop with technical expertise and guidance when required
  • Completing repairs in line with manufacturer standards
  • Accurately recording diagnostic processes and completed work
  • Carrying out vehicle health checks (EVHC) and identifying additional work

What we’re looking for:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Strong diagnostic experience within a dealership or busy workshop
  • Confident using diagnostic tools and interpreting data
  • Experience with electrical fault-finding (highly desirable)
  • High attention to detail and methodical approach
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Full UK driving licence
