Workshop Controller – Volkswagen, Birmingham

Basic salary up to £32,000 with a £6,000 bonus on top.

Role and Responsibilities

• Allocate work to technicians ensuring standards and timescales are achieved.
• Liaise with service advisors when repairs are likely to take longer than agreed, keeping the customer up to date at all times.
• Ensure all work is completed within the allocated time to achieve high productivity.
• Report and seek advice on any problems highlighted during work so they can be overcome, and keep the customer informed where delays result.

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Have relevant experience in the automotive industry, including previous workshop control or technician roles.
• Exhibit high levels of organisation and accuracy.
• Have fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues across departments.
• Be able to lead by example and motivate the team to achieve targets and deliver a high standard of work.
