Role And Responsibilities
- Create in combination with the CFO an overall procurement process framework for the business to include a defined strategy for:
- Creating a comprehensive list of current spend, supplier and contract terms for all relevant cost lines.
- Complete responsibility for the entire tender process with the relevant categories for new requirements and negotiating extensions or renegotiations of existing contracts, in line with the proposed new procurement framework.
- Working with internal stakeholders to ensure goods & services are appropriately specified and KPIs are developed for contracts.
- Participate in contract negotiations with suppliers, involving the business and/or the budget holder, legal and finance, to create advantageous contract solutions with suppliers.
- Create a supplier and contract management database which will be the central portal where information such as project progress, contract status, terms and conditions and contract terms are collated.
- Effectively communicating and engaging stakeholders throughout the procurement process.
- Advising and assisting internal stakeholders on the procurement procedures, processes, business cases and governance.
- Analyse spend and contract performance to identify cost saving opportunities, improve processes and improve service levels.
- Actively monitor all suppliers against their contract KPI’s, service levels and their financial health.
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Proven experience in both procurement with a strong track record as a Procurement Manager or equivalent position.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills are essential.
- Ability to connect operational realities with strategic objectives.
- A strategic mindset, passion for procurement with attention to detail and commercial acumen.
- A CIPS qualification would be a distinct advantage.
- Flexibility to travel regularly to the UK sites.
