Johnsons Hotel Linen is a leading laundry and linen hire company, part of the Johnson Service Group. We have exciting opportunities for Cat C LGV/HGV drivers to further strengthen our Transport team. We are looking for a versatile, professional, and self-motivated individual, who will be part of our driver team helping to support the smooth delivery & collection of linen to our customers. This is an opportunity to work within a fast-paced seven-day transport environment.

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of geographical knowledge, and an up-to-date knowledge of current UK road traffic law and legislation. They must demonstrate flexibility with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude dealing with a variety of tasks.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off

Available Shifts: 4 on 2 off (Work shifts & rest days rotate on a 6-weekly cycle)

The Role:

  • Carry out deliveries to hotels as and when requested by the Transport Manager and/or offices.
  • Maintaining vehicles on a daily/weekly basis and ensuring that they are clean and road worthy/legal at all times.
  • Maintaining regular and constant contact with the Transport Manager and/or office.
  • Delivering and collecting clean and soiled linen.
  • At all times you are expected to represent the Company in a professional manner, being polite and courteous towards all customers.
  • Keeping the inside of your vehicle clean at all times and dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided in the yard.
  • Ensuring that vehicles are always left overnight at the production facility as company insurance requires all vehicles to be left in secure premises.
  • Completing a daily safety check on your vehicle prior to leaving the depot to check key maintenance issues including tyres, levels and lights, wear Hi-Vis jacket and other safety equipment on site and at customer premises.
  • As the successful candidate, you must be prepared to be flexible in your approach to working hours including weekends.

The successful candidate will require a digital tacho card, a Class 2 driving licence and have full CPC qualification; training will be given.
