Role and Responsibilities
- Household removals or relocations.
- Office removals or relocations.
- Taking goods into or out of storage.
- Large specialist projects such as moving hospital, library or school equipment.
- Moving specialist fine art and furniture.
Day to Day
- Safely packaging items before removal or storage.
- Wrap and protect furniture for packing and shipping overseas.
- As a specialist packer, visit locations to wrap and pack delicate items (china, glass, artwork, antiques).
- Protect fragile items such as computers or antiques during packing.
- Disassemble large items for packing and removal.
- Remove doors, door frames or windows to move large pieces.
- Pack items, load into vehicle, and secure for transport.
- Check that goods are secure before driving to the new location.
- Drive to the new location, unload, reassemble large items, and place as requested.
- Unwrap furniture and unpack cartons.
Requirements
Working Hours: Flexible, on an as-required basis.
Overnight stays may be required for longer moves or longer distances.
Driving licence holders preferred.
Benefits
Experience in removals or a similar role is preferred.
