Job Description
Job Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver fast-paced fit-out and construction projects across various sectors. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction to handover, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget targets are achieved. This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of multiple fit-out and/or construction projects from tender to completion.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including procurement schedules, programmes, and resources.
- Lead project teams, including site managers, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Ensure all work complies with client specifications, building regulations, and company standards.
- Monitor and control budgets, costs, and cash flow; manage variations and contractual obligations.
- Chair regular progress meetings with clients, design teams, and stakeholders.
- Act as the key point of contact between the client and site team, maintaining strong communication and satisfaction.
- Oversee health & safety compliance on-site, working with site teams to ensure a safe working environment.
- Review and approve RAMS, drawings, programmes, and quality documentation.
- Manage risks, resolve site issues promptly, and ensure timely delivery and quality handover.
- Implement systems for both commercial and operational activities.
- Maintain an excellent level of IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Asta.
- Analyze procurement needs and manage procurement processes.
- Understand programming and contract management.
- Raise early warnings and variations as needed.
- Provide feedback to subcontractors during and after projects.
- Participate in and contribute to monthly client meetings.
- Keep accurate records of site activities and events.
- Manage the change process with the extended team.
- Promote and develop the company\’s sales and advertising efforts.
Requirements
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in fit-out and/or construction industries.
- Strong knowledge of fit-out processes, construction methods, and building regulations.
- Experience managing fast-track or high-specification projects across sectors such as commercial real estate, workplace, retail, healthcare, leisure, hospitality, logistics, and distribution.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, with experience handling budgets and contracts (e.g., JCT).
- Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
- Effective liaison and communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Influencing skills in client management.
