Job Description

Are you an experienced Porter/Driver with a Full Class 2 Driving License seeking a new role in a company with nearly 150 years of experience in the logistics and removals sector?

Due to continued growth, we\’re looking for a Class 2 Driver who is hardworking and resilient, as you\’ll be delivering and loading/unloading a range of goods from furniture to high-value artwork. You\’ll be part of a team providing a premium service, ensuring the safe journey of our clients\’ valued items and supporting your colleagues.

This is a fantastic opportunity to travel throughout the UK and Europe, with excellent promotion opportunities within Johnsons 1871.

Requirements

Skills, Qualifications, and Licences

  • HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
  • Team leading and/or supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures (essential)
  • ADR – Packages (preferred)
  • Domestic Removals Experience

Daily Responsibilities

  • Perform daily vehicle checks on your allocated HGV Class 2/7.5t/3.5t vehicle
  • Ensure the vehicle is equipped with all relevant specialist equipment required for the day\’s operations
  • Lift and pack a range of laboratory equipment, furniture, fine art, and more
  • Manage goods in or out of storage
  • Lift and move loads exceeding 25kg
  • Maintain high standards when on site
  • Take responsibility for your health and safety and that of colleagues
  • Deliver excellent customer care and service
  • Comply with all company and health and safety procedures
