Job Description

Are you an experienced Porter/Driver with a Full Class 2 Driving License looking for a new role in a company with nearly150 years of experience within the logistics and removals sector?

Due to continued growth, we\\\’re looking for a Class 2 Driver, that\\\’s hard-working and resilient as you\\\’ll be delivering and loading/unloading a range of goods from furniture to high valued artwork. You\\\’ll be part of a team delivering a premium service, loading and unloading, ensuring great care is put into the safe journey of our client\\\’s valued items and your colleagues.

Requirements

Enhanced Criminal Record Check

You will be required to undertake an \”Enhanced Criminal Record Check\” or \”Baseline Security Check\”. If you believe there may be an issue with either of these requirements, please inform us at your application stage.

Skills, Qualifications and Licences

• HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
• Team leading and/or supervisory experience (preferred)
• CSCS Green Card (preferred)
• Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures (essential)
• ADR – Packages (preferred)

Daily Responsibilities

• Vehicle daily checks of your allocated HGV Class 2/7.5t/3.5t vehicle
• Ensuring the vehicle is equipped with all the relevant specialist equipment required for the day\\u2019s operation
• Lifting and packing a range of office furniture, soft furnishings, hardware, fine art, etc.
• Taking goods in or out of storage
• Lifting and moving loads in excess of 25kg
• Ensuring the highest standards are met when on site
• Responsible for your health and safety and you and colleagues
• Always deliver excellent customer care and service
• Working as an integral team member during Larger Specialist Projects including Laboratory and Executive Office relocations
• Complying with all company and health and safety procedures
