Johnsons UK Services Limited is seeking an experienced Porter/Driver with a Full Class 2 Driving License to join our team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and loading/unloading a range of goods from furniture to high valued artwork. You'll be part of a team delivering a premium service, ensuring great care is put into the safe journey of our client's valued items.

Requirements:

  • HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
  • Team leading and/or supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures (essential)
  • ADR-Packages (preferred)

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle daily checks of your allocated HGV Class 2/7.5t/3.5t vehicle.
  • Ensuring the vehicle is equipped with all the relevant specialist equipment required for the day's operation.
  • Lifting and packing a range of laboratory equipment, furniture, fine art and more.
  • Taking goods in or out of storage.
  • Lifting and moving loads in excess of 25kg.
  • Ensuring the highest of standards are met when on site.
  • Responsible for your health and safety and that of your colleagues.
  • Always deliver excellent customer care and service.
  • Complying with all company and health and safety procedures.

Enhanced Criminal Record Check: You will be required to undertake an 'Enhanced Criminal Record Check' or 'Baseline Security Check' which will involve providing three years of address and employment history, valid ID and a character reference.
