Johnsons UK Services Limited is seeking an experienced Porter/Driver with a Full Class 2 Driving License for a new role in a company with nearly 150 years of experience within the logistics and removals sector. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Class 2 Driver who is hard-working and resilient, as you'll be delivering and loading/unloading a range of goods from furniture to high valued artwork.
You'll be part of a team delivering a premium service, loading and unloading, ensuring great care is put into the safe journey of our client's valued items and your colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity to travel throughout the UK and Europe with promotion opportunities within Johnsons1871.

Skills, Qualifications and Licences:
- HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
- Team leading and/or supervisory experience (preferred)
- CSCS Green Card (preferred)
- Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures (essential)
- ADR - Packages (preferred)
Daily Responsibilities:
- Vehicle daily checks of your allocated HGV Class 2/7.5t/3.5t vehicle
- Ensuring the vehicle is equipped with all the relevant specialist equipment required for the day's operation
- Lifting and packing a range of office furniture, soft furnishings, hardware, fine art, etc.
- Taking goods in or out of storage
- Lifting and moving loads in excess of 25kg
- Ensuring the highest of standards are met when on site
- Responsible for your health and safety and that of your colleagues
- Always deliver excellent customer care and service
- Working as an integral team member during larger specialist projects including laboratory and executive office relocations
- Complying with all company and health and safety procedures
As a Class 2 Driver, you'll receive a starting day rate of £150-£160 depending on experience. You'll receive incentives and a benefits package which will include Employees Discount Scheme, Healthcare, and Death in Service cover after 3 months. You'll also receive 23+8 days' holiday.
