Freelance Building Surveyor – Residential (L2 & L3) + Optional Commercial Work
Location: North Yorkshire and the North East (site‑based with remote reporting)
Basis: Freelance / Self‑Employed
JohnsonHarvey is a growing, independent building consultancy delivering thorough, detailed and client‑focused survey work across North Yorkshire and County Durham. We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor on a freelance basis to support our expanding workload.
We cover both commercial and residential work, however, support is most needed with delivering RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys. Experience outside this area is not essential but would be of interest.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience carrying out Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys
- A safe, experienced pair of hands who can work independently
- Excellent written English and the ability to confidently populate JohnsonHarvey report templates
- Strong communication skills and a professional, reassuring manner with clients
- Reliable, organised, and able to deliver quick turnaround times without compromising quality
- MRICS/FRICS preferred, although AssocRICS will also be considered
- Driving license with use of own car
