Johnson & Phillips is looking for an experienced
Senior Authorised Person (SAP) Engineer for an on-site position in the Chester area .
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting HV operations, switching, maintenance, testing and safe systems of work at the customer’s site.
Key responsibilities
- Carrying out HV switching and isolation procedures
- Preparing switching schedules
- Issuing and cancelling safety documents
- Managing permits to work, sanctions for test and limitations of access
- Coordinating HV maintenance, installation and testing activities
- Ensuring compliance with electrical safety rules and site procedures
- Supporting planned works and emergency call-outs where required
The ideal candidate will have
- Proven experience working as an SAP on HV electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of 11k V systems; 33k V experience would be advantageous
- Experience with switchgear, transformers and protection systems
- Recognised HV authorisation or competency certification
- Excellent health and safety awareness
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and coordinate site activities
