About Us: JMT’s Geomatics/Survey department offers an exciting work environment that leverages modern technology (terrestrial/mobile/aerial LiDAR, Drones, robotics, bathymetry, etc.), balanced with sound traditional survey procedures to deliver projects.
Position Summary: Assist field crew leaders in performing day-to-day field work. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Learn to operate survey and SUE equipment
- Assist crew leaders in the performance of daily tasks

- Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Required Skills
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Able to pass Background Check
- Able to work 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday (Minimum)
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to bend, kneel, lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed

Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge in field surveying techniques, including data collection, traverse establishment, GNSS surveys, and construction stakeouts
Working Conditions
Field work is required 95% of the time, where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Out of town travel is possible up to 40% of the time. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required as needed. Some travel required. Some night shift work required.
