About the Opportunity

Johnson May Solicitors is a growing boutique litigation firm based in Beckenham, recognised in Chambers UK 2026 and 2027 for its work with SMEs.

We are looking for an NQ-2 PQE Civil and Property Litigation Solicitor to join our friendly, client-focused practice and develop their litigation career with support and guidance from the Head of Department.

The role offers a varied caseload including property litigation, landlord and tenant disputes, contractual and business disputes, professional negligence claims and general civil litigation, with direct client contact and the opportunity to develop greater autonomy and responsibility as experience grows.

  • Developing strong and lasting client relationships.
  • Developing effective control of WIP, billing and funds on account.

Junior team members handle routine debt recovery work and other delegated tasks under supervision, allowing the solicitor to focus on substantive litigation while developing their own experience and, where appropriate, supervisory skills.

Support and guidance from the Head of Department are available, including on complex or strategic matters.
