As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Agile Business Analyst who can contribute to our continued digital expansion and growth. We’re an agile team working within a well‑established company and you’ll be an essential member of the team working closely with the business on a range of exciting projects.

As a Business Analyst you’ll be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to identify and define business requirements, supporting the delivery of high‑quality solutions, and working within a cross‑functional team to understand and analyse user and business needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to translate product/business requirements into clear and concise user stories.
  • Support or lead facilitation of stakeholder workshops to engage end‑users and support requirement capture.
  • Define new product requirements using a range of elicitation techniques – qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder workshops, current‑state analysis, competitor research.
  • Follow the JMIT requirements process throughout the software development life cycle, authoring documents, reviewing, approving, signing off, and assisting throughout solution design.
  • Ensure that solutions align with business objectives through effective liaison between development teams, product stakeholders and end‑users.
  • Investigate complex and ambiguous business situations, adopting a holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities.
  • Manage change within projects in a controlled and measured way to minimise risk and secure stakeholder agreement.

Key skills:

  • Experience delivering digital products and services across the full product/software lifecycle.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into technical and non‑technical solutions.
  • Experience documenting requirements in JIRA and Confluence, from high‑level key features (Epics) to user stories with agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Skilled in documenting requirements using various methods – process mapping, gap analysis, business case feasibility – and tools such as Microsoft Office, Mural, JIRA.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide viable outcomes.

Nice to have:

  • Previous consultancy experience.
  • Experience across treasury and trading platforms.
  • Experience in corporate communications.
