The role:
As a Metallurgist/Materials Scientist, you will help drive our goals by:
- Demonstrates compliance to all EHS standards in the factory and Industrial Materials laboratory, review and manage EHS
documentation including process deviations, management of change, COSHH and Risk Assessments - Lead and manage projects and regularly report project updates by writing monthly reports, presenting in meetings and project
reports - Hold expertise in PGM physical metallurgy and provide technical support to projects within R&D and production teams
- Bring new ideas for improving/introducing new products and processes
- Be innovative and offer solutions to resolve customer problems
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role :
- PhD in Materials Science, Metallurgy or related subject
- Strong understanding of physical/powder metallurgy
- Relevant industrial experience in related field to metallurgy
- Knowledge of metal manufacturing/processing methods e.g. casting, forging, rolling, drawing, etc.
- Good knowledge of metal properties and their industrial applications
