Role Overview
As a member of the Maintenance team at a top tier COMAH site, the Multiskilled Maintenance Technician will ensure safety and improve the reliability of manufacturing equipment used in the Noble Metals business.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and follow strict safe working procedures.
- Execute planned, reactive and corrective mechanical and electrical maintenance activities to maintain equipment reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
- Adopt work prioritisation to support customers and stakeholders’ operational needs.
- Update CMMS with detailed reports and maintain technical drawings, operator manuals, schematic drawings and P&ID’s.
- Conduct inspections, tests, adjustments and monitoring tasks to maintain plant efficiency and equipment reliability.
Qualifications
Required qualifications
- Successfully completed electrical apprenticeship.
- Recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., BTEC ONC/HNC, C&G Parts 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Completed City & Guilds Electrical Installation Parts One and Two (or equivalent) and IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition (BS7671).
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics, OEM manuals and P&ID’s.
Desirable skills
- Initial and periodic electrical inspection & testing (BS2391 EX 01‑04) trained.
- Experience with relay logic and PLCs controlling machinery, including fault‑finding.
- Understanding of PLC control, robotics and automation systems.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Valid MEWP licence.
