At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Regulatory Systems & Data Specialist you'll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history and innovation. You'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern society and enhancing lives - as we continue to apply, refine and recycle metals that matter, for a healthier and more resilient future.
The role:
- Operating and continuously improving Product Stewardship systems, including WERCS Studio, ensuring reliable and effective use for regulatory data management.
- Investigating and resolving data integrity and data flow issues, working across source systems, integrations, and WERCS outputs.
- Applying chemical understanding to validate and interpret regulatory, hazard, and product data (e.g. safety data sheet inputs, classifications).
- Collaborating with master data owners to ensure accurate, complete, and consistent data across systems.
- Acting as the primary interface with JMIT and IT teams to support system integration, issue resolution, and improvements.
- Engaging with the WERCS vendor (UL) or others to support issue investigation, system optimisation, and adoption of best practices.
- Building and maintaining an understanding of the regulatory needs of the business and its markets and how this is broken down into regulatory data requirements.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly.
- Strong IT and data management skills (e.g. database handling, system configuration, or data analysis).
- Scientific degree or equivalent (e.g. chemistry, biochemical sciences, environmental sciences etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and explain regulatory requirements clearly.
- Able to prioritise workload and meet service delivery expectations.
