Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for personal safety by following JM’s safe working practices, PPE guidelines, and contributing to a safe, healthy work environment, including reporting incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Follow all relevant process documentation (e.g., risk analyses, process instructions, standard work) and complete batch sheets and handovers to ensure smooth, continuous production.
- Support operations by performing skilled operator tasks, adhering to production schedules, conducting basic preventative maintenance, and carrying out duties as directed by the Production Lead.
- Drive continuous improvement by upholding 5S standards, collaborating with team members, suggesting process improvements, participating in failure investigations, and identifying plant reliability issues.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 4 GCSEs (A*-C) including English, Maths, and Science.
- 2 A‑Levels (or equivalent) in engineering or science.
- Experience in chemical, engineering, or manufacturing fields is beneficial but not required.
- Understanding of large‑scale manufacturing facilities and the importance of EHS.
- Strong safety focus, teamwork, positive attitude, motivation, attention to detail, and commitment to learning.
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, integrity, and the ability to work accurately, efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Non‑smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months.
