As a Production Operator, you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

Responsibilities

  • The role of a Production Operator is to complete a production process operation according to standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for operating in a safe, productive and high-quality manner.
  • These duties may include loading/unloading, inspection, packing, material movement, recording production statistics, operating or monitoring equipment operation and/or processes.
  • Actively participate in problem solving activities to help the team meet its goals.

Safety: Adheres to safety standards at all times.

Quality: To carry out standard operations effectively in a safe manner to a high-quality standard. E.g. loading/unloading, inspecting and packing. Checks quality of work according to JM and customer specifications.

Delivery: Accountable for following standard processes to complete tasks. Escalates issues to ensure a timely resolution. Identifies and escalates opportunities for improvement.

Cost: Supports CAPS implementation, as part of this using lean tools such as problem solving and 5S. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and the implementation of best practice principles, to enhance performance and operations.

People: Supports in the training of other Operators.

Qualifications

  • H.S Diploma or Equivalent – Required.
  • Works in accordance with procedures and rules.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge in computer usage – desirable.

Note: Must be open to 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift.
