As a Maintenance Manager you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.
Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance department at the Devon Clean Air manufacturing facilities in Wayne, PA, ensuring safety, operating costs, and support functions for manufacturing and the facility.
- Develop leadership skills of staff through coaching, training and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of safe behaviour, continuous improvement, and empowerment.
- Implement critical spare‑parts programs for facilities and production equipment.
- Address safety concerns of maintenance staff and plant staff and support new EHS initiatives and corrective actions.
- Execute emergency response plans, ensuring staff are trained and investigations are completed.
- Ensure area safety audits are completed and follow‑up actions are taken in a timely manner.
- Provide implementation and execution of preventative and predictive maintenance, planning and scheduling, and spare‑parts inventories to meet KPI’s.
- Identify, implement and modify maintenance programs, procedures and staffing to optimize manpower and equipment efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, monitor effectiveness, and enable decision‑making.
- Monitor equipment/process performance, identify upgrades or replacements and implement modifications to improve reliability.
- Support and monitor 5S activity in the area of responsibility, including audits.
- Consult on the implementation of new products, processes and technologies.
- Ensure quality system compliance, conduct audits and address non‑conformities.
- Support root‑cause investigations into quality issues on the line and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with EHS on site safety, environmental requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Provide input to strategic manufacturing plans to meet business area requirements.
- Develop and implement capital programs to meet capacity, cost reduction and safety objectives.
- Provide maintenance support for capital projects and administer company policy to meet regulatory requirements.
- Carry out any other duties within the employee’s skills when reasonably instructed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and training.
- At least five years of supervisory or management experience in maintenance engineering.
- Knowledge of facility equipment such as chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, electrical, roofing, and supporting utilities.
- Strong experience in preventive maintenance and reliability programs, including establishing and maintaining such programs.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ability to analyze and identify new equipment needs to improve quality and reduce costs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Experience with robotics, automated systems and PLCs is desirable.
