Location: EMEA, this role can be based in the UK, Switzerland or Ireland.

Reports to: EMEA MT Deliver Leader

Scope: Manage the EMEA MT RDex (Regional Deliver Excellence) team and coordinate the successful build and application of Distribution & Transportation capabilities across the EMEA MT Deliver Network.

Position Summary: Focused strategic and functional leadership of the EMEA MedTech Deliver Excellence team to support the EMEA MT Deliver operations team. Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to the Johnson & Johnson EMEA MT Regional Deliver Excellence team. Ensure strong leadership in capability building and deployment in support of the EMEA MT business through the Distribution and Transportation network. Provide technical input to several key disciplines in the RDex team to shape and support the future strategy and tactical operations for EMEA MT Deliver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize value to the Johnson & Johnson MT organization by enabling the key areas of RDex (PMO/Project Management, Business Process Ownership, Business Excellence, Analytics, Engineering, Value Added Services and New product Introduction) as a crucial component of the EMEA MT Deliver strategic goals.
  • Work with the MT Global SC Strategy & Excellence team to drive consistent adoption of Global and Regional standards to all core Deliver processes.
  • Drive visibility of performance management and failure modes via performance analytics and root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate EMEA MT Deliver projects through a central PMO organization that also manages the full portfolio including conformance to project spend and CIP targets.
  • Enable a culture of continuous improvement and support of key EMEA MT Deliver strategic initiatives through training, process maturity assessments, value stream mapping and capability building.
  • Coordinate the regional Engineering team to execute projects in support of the Deliver Operations and global MT automation strategies.
  • Partner with E2E SC to shape and develop the Value-Added Services strategy for MT Deliver in the EMEA region.
  • Manage and coordinate the NPI (New Product Introduction) process and successful introduction of new products into the EMEA MT Deliver network.
  • Partner with E2E SC (Global & Regional) teams and J&J compliance functional pillars to support the compliance agenda, monitor performance, surface and drive rapid resolution of compliance risks.
  • Define the Deliver capabilities and technology roadmap through focus on partnerships, analytics, product visibility, and insight generation.
  • In support of EMEA MT Deliver Operations, partner with the Global SC Analytics team to providing visibility, analytics and drive continuous improvement focused on OTIF-D, Inventory, Cost to Serve etc.
  • Drive successful outcome of initiatives enabling visibility to inventory / work capital / cycle time performance and trends; Initiate and execute optimization opportunities; develop/leverage tools to bring visibility of product flows.
  • Drive successful outcome of initiatives enabling cost to serve and CIPs through logistics category management in partnership with procurement, network transformation / product flow optimization, etc.
  • Process owner of Deliver strategy development and integration within E2E SC and necessary support functions.
  • Support A&D activities impacting EMEA MT Regional Deliver Operations in partnership with Deliver A&D experts within Global A&D team.
  • Develop talent and people capabilities to support Regional Deliver Operations to demonstrate functional excellence; actively sponsor and mentor key talent within RDeX, building leadership capabilities within the team.

Experience and functional competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree like MA and MBA preferred.
  • Min. 10 years in end-to-end supply chain related disciplines with deep expertise across core Order Fulfilment processes, advanced logistics and systems (ERP, Warehousing, Transportation) with direct operational experience.
  • Background in driving insights through analytics, implementing technology solutions, standards definition.
  • Capability in strategy development and deployment, PMO, strategic insights, capability building and E2E orchestration.
  • Skills to build an organization that will embrace a culture of functional excellence, continuous improvement, internal customer relationship management across multiple organizations and functions.
  • Demonstrated impact in increasingly complex leadership roles, including roles requiring orchestration and influence; E2E mindset and collaborative, influence-based leadership approach.
  • Proven skill to balance a focus on operations and customers.
  • Track record of developing and building diverse, high-performance teams with a strong sense of mission.
  • Ability to promote a vision and drive change to transform organizations, via strong engagement/communication.
  • Collaboration - able to build strong partnerships internally and externally with customer focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity.
  • Highly skilled communicator with demonstrated ability to synthesize large quantities of information and present cogent recommendations.

  • Capable of achieving results in a highly matrixed and global environment. Business fluent in English, fluency in additional European languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as PMP, APICS (CPIM/CSCP), Lean Six Sigma, or relevant logistics/transportation certifications.
