The opportunity: Pulsed field ablation is changing how atrial fibrillation is treated, and we are moving quickly to get our PFA technologies into the hands of clinicians across the south of the UK. We are looking for someone with real electrophysiology credibility to lead that effort, making sure VARIPULSE™ and Dual Energy STSF are launched well and then used to their full potential, and that we are ready for everything coming behind them.
The role suits someone who is clinically strong and commercially curious, and who is just as comfortable in the lab with a clinician as they are shaping plans with the marketing and clinical leadership team. You will own launch excellence from start to finish: getting sites ready, supporting confident first cases, and building from there to routine, high volume practice. You will lead a team of four New Technology Specialists, so you will be developing others as well as delivering yourself, and you will work as a pair with your counterpart Clinical Development Manager in the north to set the clinical standard for new product introductions nationally.
Role snapshot:
- Reports to: UK/IRL Marketing Lead, Electrophysiology
- Direct reports: team of 4 New Technology Specialists
- Location: field-based; you must live in the south of the UK, within easy reach of our southern and London EP centres
- Travel: around 50% of your time in the field, plus occasional travel to UK and EMEA congresses and meetings
Focus: launch excellence and maximising adoption of PFA technology, in particular VARIPULSE™ and Dual Energy STSF, alongside readiness for the future EP pipeline.
Key partnership: you and the Clinical Development Manager for the north, run the clinical development agenda as a national pair.
Works closely with: the UK marketing and clinical teams, regional sales leadership, Professional Education, and EMEA Marketing and Clinical Development.
What you will do:
- Plan and deliver new product introductions across your accounts, covering site readiness, training for clinical and lab teams, first case planning and a clear route from first case to routine use.
- Maximise PFA adoption and utilisation. Grow use of VARIPULSE™ and Dual Energy STSF beyond the early adopters.
- Prepare the region for what comes next. Assess each site for clinical, technical and capacity readiness.
- Lead and develop the New Technology Specialist team. Line manage four NTSs, setting clear objectives, coaching them in the field and in the lab.
- Work as a national pair with the north. Partner with the Clinical Development Manager for the north.
- Develop clinical advocacy. Build credible relationships with electrophysiologists, physiologists and nursing teams across the south.
- Turn evidence into practical tools. Translate clinical data and product claims into training materials and messaging.
- Enable the wider commercial team. Partner with sales colleagues and territory managers.
- Be the voice of the customer. Feed insight, competitor intelligence and clinical feedback into the UK marketing plan.
- Measure and share progress. Track adoption, utilisation and launch KPIs by account.
What you will bring:
- Strong electrophysiology knowledge with hands-on practical experience in the EP lab.
- Experience of launching new technology and driving adoption, ideally including PFA.
- Degree level education with at least three years of directly related experience.
- Previous line management experience is an advantage.
- Established credibility with EP clinical teams and the ability to build KOL relationships quickly.
- Strong project management and planning skills.
- A genuine partnering mindset.
- Commercially curious and comfortable with data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated, dependable and positive, with a team first attitude.
- Living in the south of the UK, with a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
Why you will want this role:
- You will work on technology that is changing how heart arrhythmia is treated.
- You will own the launch approach for your accounts, lead a team of four, and be trusted to deliver both.
- You will sit between the clinical and commercial sides of the business.
- You will join an EP team that works hard, celebrates its wins and backs each other.
