Overview
In this role you lead the EHDS data cataloguing efforts within Johnson & Johnson’s Clinical Data Transparency program. You own the inventory, metadata, and governance of in-scope datasets across regions, ensuring completeness, consistency, and discoverability. Working with Legal, Privacy, Regulatory, and Technology, you embed EHDS requirements into scalable processes for current and new data holdings. This is a cross-functional, global role with a focus on data maturity, standards, and compliance that enables safe data sharing and value realization.

Responsibilities
- Lead the EHDS Data Inventory and Cataloging workstream and coordinate data owners to identify in-scope datasets
- Establish and maintain a complete data inventory with ownership, categories, and dependencies
- Apply EHDS classification and metadata standards to ensure consistent, interoperable catalog entries
- Develop and maintain minimum metadata requirements, decision frameworks, and owner instructions
- Coordinate with data owners to validate and maintain dataset information, addressing gaps
- Collaborate with Legal and subject matter experts on data holder obligations and ownership
- Lead data quality reviews and remediation plans for the inventory
- Register and maintain dataset descriptions in catalogues, ensuring updates and governance
- Define data quality and utility labeling approaches in partnership with SMEs
- Integrate EHDS cataloguing into processes for new and future data holdings
- Plan and pilot cataloging activities, refine processes, and train stakeholders
- Establish SOPs, controls, and performance measures for data inventory and metadata management
- Monitor EHDS implementing acts and incorporate changes into processes
- Identify external services or vendor needs for cataloging and tooling
- Provide SME coaching to data owners and teams; matrix leadership as needed
- Embed Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and ways of working
Key requirements
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, or data roles
- Expertise in data cataloging, metadata management, data governance, or related field
- Knowledge of clinical data standards (CDISC SDTM/ADaM); familiarity with OMOP, HL7 FHIR, HealthDCAT-AP, DCAT-AP preferred
- Understanding of EHDS data holder obligations and ability to operationalize regulatory requirements
- Proven cross-functional project leadership in a global matrix environment
- Experience building sustainable data governance, controls, training, and quality standards
- Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to partner across internal and external networks
