The Neuroimmunology Field Director, Autoantibody TA will lead the East Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to execute US medical affairs educational and scientific activities, driving results and execution of launch of Nipocalimab in gMG in the field. This is a field based role.

The Field Director is responsible for:

• Hiring, onboarding, training and management of the East region Autoantibody Neuroimmunology MSL team.
• Strengthening and building JNJ’s external footprint across the neuromuscular space with a focus on the gMG launch of Nipocalimab.
• Ensuring that the team functions according to the Medical Affairs plan and company directives.
• Conducting routine team field visits and 1:1 meetings providing observation and coaching.
• Conducting performance coaching and feedback discussions.
• Providing oversight responsibility for team’s training and development.
• Ensuring team optimal capacity, field activity level, and field metrics.
• Successfully collaborating with headquarters.
• Ensuring each MSL territory plan is strategic, up to date and actionable.
• Managing the team through special projects and cross functional support activities.
• Collaborating and aligning with the West Field Director for consistent execution of field medical plans across the US.
• Recruitment and retention of top talent and implementing leadership strategies to inspire and motivate team members.
• Providing career and succession planning in support of staff reaching their highest potential.
• Promoting a working environment according to Credo values, communication of a clear direction, active listening, respecting diversity, encouraging collaborative partnership, empowering direct reports, follow up on commitments, promoting innovation, and rewarding high performance.
• Timely completion of administrative duties, including assessment and approval of expense reports, preparation and communication of team metric reports.
• Co-leading the communication of MSL team achievement updates to appropriate internal partners and levels of management.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of thriving in complexity and ambiguity, with experience in collaboration with key business partners in rare diseases/immunology in a complex matrixed organization.

Qualifications Required:

• A minimum of a graduate medical/scientific degree required, i.e. PhD, PharmD, MD, DO.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience, with a minimum of 5 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience.
• Previous MSL field director experience including experience onboarding and training new hires.
• Experience as a MSL.
• Ability to travel up to 60% (including overnight travel).
• Ability to maintain an office in the home and live in close proximity to an airport.
• Must be available to attend national scientific congresses and key strategic/scientific meetings across the US, and at the corporate office in Horsham, PA.

Preferred:

• Highly preferred immunology and/or neurology experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Rare Diseases.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $160,000 to $250,000.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
