Job Overview
The Director, FP&A International plays a critical leadership role in shaping the financial strategy and performance of DePuy Synthes' international markets. This role partners closely with regional and functional leaders to drive financial planning, forecasting, and decision support across a complex, global business. The position offers high visibility, broad impact, and the opportunity to influence strategic investments and long‐term growth as DePuy Synthes evolves into a standalone organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead international financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‐range planning processes across regions and markets.
- Provide strategic financial insight and decision support to senior international and regional leadership teams.
- Analyse financial performance, key drivers, and risks; oversee monthly and quarterly performance reviews, including variance analysis and executive‐level reporting.
- Partner with commercial, supply chain, and operations leaders to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and resource allocation.
- Lead, develop, and coach a team of finance professionals in a matrixed, international environment.
- Ensure alignment with corporate financial policies, controls, and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required)
- MBA or other advanced degree (preferred)
- 10–12 years of progressive experience in finance, including FP&A and financial management roles
- Proven experience supporting international or multi‐country businesses
- Strong leadership experience, including managing and developing teams in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and influence strategic decisions
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights
- High standards of integrity, compliance, and alignment with organisational values
Preferred Experience
- Experience within a large, global organisation, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or a regulated industry
- Experience supporting commercial and supply chain organisations
- Change leadership experience, including process transformation or system implementations
- Strong business acumen with a track record of driving results through collaboration
Other Requirements
- Language requirements: Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus
- Travel: Up to 20% international travel
- Certifications: CPA, CFA, or equivalent (preferred, not required)
