The Senior Director, Network Development & Execution provides enterprise leadership to develop, evaluate, and execute network strategies that improve service, resilience, cost-to-serve, and scalability across the Deliver organization. This leader translates business strategy into an actionable network roadmap, establishes governance and performance mechanisms, and leads cross-functional execution across logistics, distribution, and customer service operations.
Operating as a senior, cross-functional leader, the role drives end-to-end network decisions (e.g., capacity, footprint, flows, and operating model) through robust business cases, disciplined program management, and measurable benefit delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Network Strategy Development (Design → Decision)
- Develop an integrated Supply Chain network strategy aligned to business priorities, customer needs, and growth plans; translate strategy into a multi-year roadmap with clear milestones and outcomes.
- Lead network assessments and scenario evaluation to optimize service, capacity, resilience, and cost-to-serve, balancing trade-offs and recommending the best path forward.
- Establish network standards and capabilities that can be leveraged at scale across business units/regions within Deliver.
- Execution Leadership & Program Governance (Decision → Delivery)
- Design and execute a global roadmap to turn network strategies into clear programs, ensuring consistent and effective implementation.
- Lead a portfolio of network initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring disciplined project management, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and cadence-based reporting.
- Build and maintain robust business cases for strategic network changes, including investment requirements, assumptions, options, and measurable benefits.
- Establish and enforce governance routines and performance mechanisms to ensure accountability for outcomes and benefits realization.
- End-to-End Deliver Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Provide leadership oversight to improve end-to-end Deliver performance through systems, process controls, and continuous improvement—strengthening reliability, responsiveness, and execution rigor.
- Establish, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and use benchmarking/performance insights to improve service, cost efficiency, quality, and vendor performance.
- Identify structural opportunities across logistics and service models to optimize cost-to-serve while maintaining or improving customer outcomes.
- IBP / Demand & Capacity Trade-off Leadership
- Serve as a senior contributor in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) by providing insights into demand signals, capacity constraints, and risk/opportunity trade-offs; help translate commercial ambition into executable supply chain plans.
- Optimize working capital by driving network optimization initiatives that balance inventory levels, service reliability and cost efficiency for better cash flow generation.
- Partner with leaders to proactively surface network constraints and remove recurring bottlenecks impacting service, growth, and cost.
- Financial, Compliance & Operational Management
- Manage operational governance for the function/programs, including budget oversight, performance management, and compliance/risk considerations.
- Partner with Finance to ensure strong financial planning, tracking, and transparency for network programs, including savings and investment performance.
- People Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and develop leaders and high-performing teams; build succession-ready capability across network strategy, analytics, and execution.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement across diverse, matrixed stakeholders.
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline.
- Typically 14+ years of progressive experience with significant leadership responsibility in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Distribution, or related enterprise functions.
- Establish success in guiding network investment and divesture decisions, driving both service optimization and cost efficiency supporting company objectives.
- Demonstrated success translating enterprise/business strategy into functional strategic plans and executing with measurable operational and financial impact.
- Experience operating effectively in a complex, matrixed organization and influencing outcomes through cross-functional partnership.
- Proven experience managing advanced network optimization and modeling software tools to drive strategic supply chain decisions.
- Strong business and financial acumen (P&L, capital investments, savings/value delivery).
