Imagine your next project leading the investment planning activities for the TECA franchise within the MedTech Function of Johnson & Johnson, taking a key leadership role in the demand planning of life-changing implants and instruments. An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term role covering a maternity leave as IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Lead - Trauma for the UK DePuy Synthes Business. Contract end 25th October 2026.
In this role you will lead the investment planning activities for the TECA franchise within the MedTech Function of Johnson & Johnson. This specifically involves the demand planning of implant and instrument kits for consignment in line with business plans, capital expenditure & inventory budgets, as well as the coordination of the supply execution activities through the Global supply network, out to our end-customers. The role also involves supporting Final Consensus Forecast of sales replenishment demand with Regional Supply Chain & Local Commercial Teams. This is a key leadership role with day-to-day management and leadership responsibility for at least 2 Supply Chain Analysts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with partners to ensure capital expenditure & inventory aligns with targets.
- Monthly engagement with in-field sales teams to determine capital investment demand plans that are aligned to capex budgets, business plans, and netted against under-utilised assets.
- Conversion of local investment plans into an upstream set of demand signals that are effectively transferred into the Regional Demand Planning systems.
- Network capacity planning through collaboration with the UK and EMEA Warehouses and Kitting Branch Plants to ensure on-time consignment shipments to hospitals that are aligned to the IBP Plan.
- Key business partner to the commercial organisation, ensuring customer and commercial investment needs are optimally planned and delivered through the end-to-end supply chain.
- Optimizing consignment stock levels as part of the deployment planning process in support of inventory optimization initiatives and targets.
- Effective order book management of consignment sets on order, identifying supply gaps and collaborating closely with the International Deployment Group to expedite and resolve issues.
- Effective management of consignment sets that are available in Orthokit, UK Kit Build and/or BEK, particularly those sets that are under-utilised, ageing and/or on hold.
- Lead the IBP alignment meetings for specific Sub-Franchise with the relevant Business Unit Director and their team.
- Drive process improvements by challenging the status quo & advancing and leveraging Technology.
- Cross functional role – strong links with Customer Services, Commercial, Deliver, Global/Regional Plan.
How to Succeed:
- Educated to Degree level, ideally in a Supply Chain or commercially orientated subject with a minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in planning, sourcing or general supply chain/ S&OP management.
- Solid understanding of latest relevant technology & tools including advanced analytics to enable the continued digital transformation of modern supply chain.

- End-to-end Supply Chain background / interest desirable.
- Able to solve complex business problems & present recommendations to management effectively.
- Able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with others with little supervision.
- Experience from within the Medical Devices industry (preferred).
- Previous working with sophisticated business processes, and validated understanding of DP and/or ERP systems such as JDE 8.12 and/or SAP would be looked on favourably.
- Experience in scenario planning is preferred.
This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run until Oct 2026.
