DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Commercial Education Trauma Manager, located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK, Luzernstrasse, Zuchwil
The Commercial Education Trauma Manager is responsible for leading the design and delivery of education programs that support trauma healthcare professionals across the UK. This role plays a critical part in enhancing clinical knowledge, supporting safe product use, and accelerating adoption of innovative trauma solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leading clinicians to deliver impactful learning experiences that ultimately improve patient outcomes and strengthen DePuy Synthes’ position in trauma care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of trauma-focused professional education programs aligned with commercial and product strategies
- Design and deliver training initiatives, including procedural techniques and product application for healthcare professionals
- Identify education gaps and implement targeted programs to address evolving clinical and training needs
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs teams to ensure education initiatives align with business objectives
- Plan and manage educational events such as workshops, cadaver labs, symposia, and regional training programs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), trauma surgeons, and healthcare institutions
- Monitor program effectiveness using performance metrics and feedback, driving continuous improvement
- Ensure all education activities and materials comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Incorporate innovative and digital learning approaches to enhance engagement and training effectiveness
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination for education initiatives
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (e.g., Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or related field)
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) preferred
Experience and Skills
Required
- Typically 5–8 years of relevant experience in medical education, commercial training, or healthcare program management
- Experience designing and delivering education programs for healthcare professionals
- Strong understanding of the healthcare or medical device industry
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clinical audiences
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- Analytical mindset with experience using data and performance metrics to inform decision-making
Preferred
- Experience in trauma or orthopedic medical device education
- Familiarity with surgical training environments, including hands-on labs and workshops
- Experience working with key opinion leaders and healthcare institutions
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Experience with digital learning platforms and innovative content delivery approaches
- Experience managing regional or national education programs
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
Other
- Language requirements: English required
- Travel up to 30–40% (primarily within the UK, with occasional international travel)
- Certifications in project management, medical education, or learning & development preferred
- Valid driver’s license required for travel to customer and training sites
