JOHNSON & JOHNSON MED TECH UKI are looking for a Commercial Education Manager for the UK & Ireland.

Role Summary: The Commercial Education specialist has a critical role for their relevant Franchise in the UK & IRE. This individual is responsible for creating the platform specific Commercial Education strategy in alignment with the Franchise GES Lead, Platform Business Lead and Platform/Speciality Marketing Lead. It supports the wound closure and biosurgery business function. They also manage the local execution of this strategy to help the Franchise become the most productive, effective and efficient Med Tech company in the world. The Commercial Education Manager will be a member of the Platform/Speciality Leadership Team for the UKI.

Accountability

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as the Commercial Education relationship manager for key platform and speciality stakeholders including Platform Business Leads, Platform Marketing/Sales Directors, Platform/Speciality Marketing Managers, Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and Regional & Global Commercial Education.
  • Coordinate the annual operating budget while delivering the Platform/specialty Commercial Education programme to support the annual Platform business plan.
  • Develop and deliver vision, mission and goals for the Platform Commercial Education programmes aligned to the Platform strategic roadmap and business plan, including Foundation Academy & development centers for new starters, Advance & Mastery programmes for all sales specialists and regional specific sessions.
  • Conduct training needs analysis in conjunction with the marketing team and regional sales managers.
  • Deliver strategic skills to enhance selling skills and performance of the sales team, and support RSMs and marketing leads with team culture within their respective sales and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with key Surgical Societies, Teaching Institutions and thought leaders to shape Medical Education for staff where required.
  • Collaborate with JJMT education capabilities and digital education teams to build innovative learning programmes for JJMT staff, improving effectiveness and efficiencies of the platform’s Education capability.
  • Lead responsibility for assuring necessary tools, policies and procedures are developed and integrated to support and comply with all legal, regulatory and HCC policies.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Creates & executes the Platform’s vision, mission and goals, ensuring alignment with Global, Regional & local strategy.
  • Deliver industry‑leading Platform Commercial Education, creating a key differentiator for the UK&I business and a true value‑add for customers.
  • Direct the creation and management of the total investment into the Platform Commercial Education Effectiveness programme, including BP creation, incremental funding and annual budget management.
  • Build strong instructional design capability for Platform Commercial Education, ensuring integration of adult learning principles in all learning experiences.
  • Annually review Sales Team capabilities (product knowledge, sales skills, business acumen) to uncover individual & platform training needs, deploying linked learning continuums & development plans for all internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Digital Education Solutions (DES) to provide business insights, integrate DES products into the DPS Ecosystems and maximize data & analytics capabilities to drive business decisions and increase performance.
  • Deliver internal communication plan for platform responsibilities, leveraging existing & new (e.g., social media) communication channels to maximise internal impact.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years working in Learning/Education, Marketing and/or Sales in Medical Tech.
  • Experience leading significant business transformation and change management projects delivered on time and in budget.
  • Proven ability to influence corporate leadership and partner with diverse multi‑functional teams across geographic boundaries.
  • Proven ability to understand business strategy and translate it into solutions that support the company’s business goals.
  • Proven leadership ability to effectively motivate and lead a team to success, including non‑direct reporting teams.
  • Relevant platform clinical expertise & product knowledge.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strategy development and execution.
  • Prior experience in Sales, Marketing, Professional Education, Adult Education, Sales Training, Strategy development and Analytics.
  • Strong influence management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop internal and external networks.
  • Demonstrated track record for Standards of Leadership traits.
  • Flexible and willing to travel frequently (50% of time).
