This role will have responsibility for all DePuy Synthes out of US markets. This role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer for DePuy Synthes and partners with the Head of International Business for DePuy Synthes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build partnerships with senior management to maintain an appropriate culture of compliance and drive a sustainable compliance program.
- Regularly review the Compliance Program and recommend appropriate revisions and modifications.
- Advise senior management and compliance leadership on potential compliance risk areas and recommend implementation of action plans.
- Coordinate resources to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of Compliance Programs.
- Ensure internal controls can prevent and detect significant instances or patterns of fraud and abuse.
- Oversee follow‑up and resolution of investigations generated by the program, including for‑cause investigations and anonymous reports, as directed by legal counsel.
- Review investigation results with appropriate management and the Law Department, including development of corrective action plans where appropriate.
- Oversee implementation of testing and monitoring programs and related tracking mechanisms.
- In consultation with business leadership, HR, and the Law Department, help ensure mechanisms exist for disciplining instances of non‑compliance, and ensure consistency in the application of disciplinary action.
- Take an active role in shaping the external environment, lead industry association activity and interact with government agencies.
