Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician with 5+ years experience to maintain, fault‑find, and repair CNC machines in a regulated medical device production environment. The ideal candidate has hands‑on CNC repair experience, strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills, and follows GMP/ISO quality practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs on CNC mills, lathes, medical cleaning, and sterilisation equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and CNC‑control issues; perform root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Update and maintain maintenance logs, calibration records, and spare‑parts inventory in accordance with quality systems.
  • Support machine setup, program loading, and post‑processor changes in collaboration with production and programming teams.
  • Commission new equipment and participate in equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities as required by medical device regulations.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment uptime and process yield.
  • Safely handle tools and test instruments; follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
  • Provide on‑call support as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands‑on CNC maintenance/repair experience in a production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude: bearings, spindles, ball screws, linear guides, gearboxes.
  • Electrical and controls skills: servo drives, PLCs, wiring, sensors, and basic ladder logic understanding.
  • Experience with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, or similar).
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Comfortable using diagnostic tools: multimeter, alignment tools.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Willingness to work in a regulated environment and follow GMP/ISO procedures.

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience in medical device manufacturing or other highly regulated industries.
  • Formal training or certification in CNC maintenance, PLC programming, or industrial hydraulics/pneumatics.
