The Director, Global Security EMEA Lead provides strategic and operational leadership for security across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role is responsible for protecting employees, facilities, products, and information while enabling business continuity and growth in a complex, highly regulated environment. The position plays a critical role in managing regional security risks, leading crisis response, and partnering with senior leaders to ensure a safe and resilient operating environment across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the EMEA security strategy in alignment with global security objectives and business priorities.
  • Oversee physical security, travel security, investigations, crisis management, and incident response across the region.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, including geopolitical, operational, and site‑specific threats.
  • Serve as a trusted security advisor to EMEA leadership, providing risk assessments and strategic guidance.
  • Establish governance, standards, and performance metrics to ensure consistent security practices across EMEA markets.
  • Lead and develop regional security teams and manage third‑party security providers.
  • Partner with Legal, HR, Supply Chain, IT, and Business leaders to support secure operations and business continuity.
  • Manage security incidents and investigations, including coordination with local authorities where required.
  • Support transformation, separation, and change initiatives impacting security operations across EMEA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree or advanced professional education (preferred).

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Typically 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, risk management, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading regional security programs across EMEA or other large, diverse geographies.
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical risk, crisis management, and security operations in complex markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and operate effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing investigations, incidents, and external security partners.
  • Strong leadership, judgment, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale transformations or business separations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, cultural, and operational considerations across EMEA markets.
  • Experience implementing global security standards and governance models.
  • Background in intelligence, investigations, or risk analysis.
