As a Field-Based Doors Engineer, you’ll service, install, and repair door systems across the UK. You’ll work in diverse environments—schools, retail spaces, warehouses, manufacturing sites, and residential buildings—ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. You’ll contribute to our Zero Harm culture and support team performance through technical excellence and excellent customer service.
What You Will Do
- Service installations and repairs of door systems across the UK, ensuring compliance, safety and quality.
How You Will Do It
- Service, install, repair, and fault-find on a range of door systems.
- Apply risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe working practices.
- Use electrical knowledge to support diagnostics and repairs.
- Complete service reports and handover documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with planning and operations to manage workload and priorities.
- Deliver a first-class customer experience through problem-solving and clear communication.
- Participate in the Out-of-Hours (OOH) call-out rota as required.

What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience servicing, repairing, and installing door systems.
- Strong communication and relationship skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay overnight.
- Familiarity with safe systems of work and PPE usage.
Preferred
- Intermediate to advanced fault-finding and commissioning skills.
- Health & Safety certifications (IPAF, PASMA, competency card).
- Electrical qualification.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manage complex installations.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PDF) for reports.
