This role will be based at our Stockport Manufacturing facility where you may work shift patterns, so you will need to be able to travel to site. To get on this prestigious apprenticeship programme, we require 5’s or C’s in your GCSE English and Maths. Please include your certificates in your application.

What You’ll Be Up To
- Work in the world of manufacturing, production planning, managing and reviewing of production schedules.
- Collaborate with our production engineering team, who are at the heart of our globally shipped bespoke fire suppression systems.
- Spend significant time working with our qualified manufacturing engineers who will show you the ropes and train you in the skills necessary to become a successful manufacturing engineer.
- Be exposed to the intriguing realms of design and processing engineering, as well as cutting-edge robotics and 3D printing.
- Learn how to set ambitious yet achievable output and quality objectives, keep a close eye on expenditure, and master the art of forecasting resource output.
- Receive training on the design and planning of layouts for assembly and materials handling, with the chance to adapt machine or equipment design.
- Familiarise yourself with lean manufacturing techniques designed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in production processes.

Where You’ll Train
Tameside College - Level 3 Engineering and manufacturing support technician. Mix of college learning and hands-on mentoring. College is in a day release format on site.
What You’ll Need
- GCSEs in English & Maths - Grade 5 (C) or above.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Good physical health; the job can be labour intensive at times.
- Team spirit, hardworking, communication skills, and a love for technology and engineering.
