We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Frome, Somerset. This is an on-site role working a fixed day shift: Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:00 and Friday 08:00–13:00.

In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by monitoring, evaluating and improving processes using Lean methodologies. You’ll resolve production stoppages caused by process or equipment issues through hands-on problem solving and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

  • Improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs and support projects that enhance performance and safety.

How You Will Do It

  • Apply Lean and problem-solving tools to eliminate persistent issues.
  • Identify, plan and execute capital improvement projects.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and control documentation.
  • Work with process owners and stakeholders to deliver change through teamwork.
  • Use digital tools to support problem solving and improvement.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Completed electrical apprenticeship OR multi-skilled engineer with clear electrical bias.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • LEAN manufacturing / continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of PLC-controlled systems.
  • Self-motivated; able to manage workload, identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Occasional UK & European travel may be required.
