We're looking for an experienced BMS Service Engineer to join our growing team. This field-based role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse customer portfolio while supporting critical building control systems and developing your career with a global leader in smart building technology.
The Role
As a BMS Service Engineer, you'll be the trusted technical expert for our customers, delivering service excellence and ensuring systems operate at peak performance. Working independently and as part of a wider team, you'll support service delivery, system optimisation and future upgrade opportunities. This is a mobile role covering the Central Belt of England, from the Midlands through to Peterborough.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and control systems
- Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues efficiently
- Configuring and commissioning controllers and network-level devices
- Modifying software and maintaining accurate system documentation
- Producing service reports and recommendations
- Building strong customer relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
- Supporting upgrade and lifecycle projects
- Promoting OpenBlue and cloud-connected building technologies
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance
What We're Looking For
- Min 3 years' experience within BMS, Building Controls or Automation
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a customer-facing service environment
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and participate in an out-of-hours callout rota
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
- Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys systems (advantageous)
