As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee quantity surveying and commercial management across projects from contract award to completion. You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, taking responsibility for their commercial performance, and provide commercial and contractual advice to Sales and Projects teams. You will coach and develop your team, including apprentices, ensuring successful financial outcomes while mitigating company risk. Reporting to the Head of Commercial UK&I, you will support our growth strategy and take ownership of major projects in your region.

How You Will Do It

You will manage change effectively, make confident decisions, and work comfortably with ambiguity. Thriving in a commercial environment, you will balance multiple priorities using strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills. You will promote continuous learning within your team and collaborate internally and externally to share best practice. A key part of the role involves contract and account management for high-risk, high-profile projects, ensuring timely and profitable negotiations on variations and final accounts. You will manage change processes, identify claims, calculate value entitlements, and ensure contracts are administered correctly. You will also provide ongoing commercial support to your team and act as an escalation point for clients.

What We Look For

  • Ideally 5-7 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor on non-framework agreements on projects ranging from £100k to £10m
  • Proven track record within Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) environments ideally including any of these areas: HVAC&R, Security, Fire detection / suppression, BMS / Controls
  • Strong understanding of commercial and financial risk
  • Proven ability to lead large commercial projects
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, including explaining technical details to non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and independent decision-making
  • RICS accredited or working towards accreditation
