Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Manager in industrial refrigeration technology who will be responsible for projects from planning through handover. You will manage schedules, stakeholders, and customer communications to ensure a smooth project flow. In addition, you will take full responsibility for engineering—from developing the plant concept and layout to the technical requirements of the refrigeration system.
Responsibilities
- Planning and controlling project timelines, budgets and resources from project initiation to completion.
- Primary point of contact for customers and translating their requirements into project plans and solutions.
- Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and customers.
- Conducting procurement activities, including material selection, orders and cost tracking.
- Developing plant concepts, layouts and detailed designs for industrial refrigeration systems.
- Creating technical calculations, schematics and component specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety requirements and internal policies.
- Providing technical support to the service team during installation and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Completed technical training or a technical degree.
- Project experience or strong coordination skills.
- Experience with industrial refrigeration systems (NH3, CO2, Freon) is mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Clear and convincing communication at all levels.
- Proactive, solution-oriented and autonomous working style.
- Ability to take engineering responsibility from concept to implementation.
- Ability to evaluate components, size systems, and ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.
Languages: English or German required; French is advantageous.
