What You Will Do

As part of our Global Marine and Navy business, you will ensure HVAC/R projects meet agreed timelines and margins while minimising design and build costs, errors, and omissions. You will provide essential commercial and design support across a range of projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. This includes producing technical deliverables, liaising with clients, managing engineering changes, and acting as the onshore focal point for offshore teams. You will lead project briefings and communicate challenges or concerns to clients throughout the project lifecycle.

How You Will Do It

  • Liaise with clients, end users, subcontractors, and internal teams on all technical matters relating to HVAC/R system design
  • Prepare work scope specifications
  • Conduct onsite surveys to determine work scopes (1-2 times per month)
  • Design and analyse HVAC/R systems (refrigerated and water‑based) in line with company standards
  • Apply knowledge of relevant HVAC/R codes and standards (e.g., F‑Gas, BS)
  • Ensure projects meet milestones and targeted margins
  • Coordinate with project engineering disciplines to deliver high‑quality, efficient work
  • Support design, supply, installation, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems onshore and offshore
  • Manage procurement, expediting, and delivery of labour and materials
  • Ensure all certification and QA/QC requirements are met
  • Produce QHSE documentation, including quantitative and qualitative risk assessments
  • Participate in SIL, HAZID, and HAZOP studies
  • Oversee projects from survey and design through to completion, including offshore supervision
  • Produce and track project documentation in line with client SDRLs
  • Prepare and present commercial bids and tenders

What We Look For

  • Relevant HVAC/R experience
  • Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
  • BSc/BEng in an Engineering discipline (desirable)
  • Essential Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to obtain SC UK MOD Security Clearance (screening provided by JCI)
  • Due to the nature of this position, applicants must already have the unrestricted legal right to live and work in the UK. Sponsorship or visa support is not available for this role.
