The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

As a key member of the plant leadership team, you will lead material planning, inventory control and supplier performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations. You will be responsible for delivery performance, inventory optimisation and the implementation of JCMS material control principles across the plant and wider supply chain. This is an onsite manufacturing role with up to 20% travel, focused on driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency and cost reduction while supporting production and customer delivery targets.

How You Will Do It

  • Lead scheduling, planning and customer delivery processes to meet demand
  • Oversee inventory management, stock control and financial compliance
  • Develop and manage budgets, headcount and resources across planning, purchasing and warehouse teams
  • Monitor and deliver KPIs in line with company targets while maintaining quality and reducing cost
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with production, finance and supply chain teams
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction projects aligned to plant goals
  • Review demand vs capacity and implement solutions to address bottlenecks
  • Manage supplier performance and material availability to support uninterrupted production
  • Ensure accurate master data and regular product and production reviews

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience within warehouse, manufacturing or production environments with material management responsibility
  • Strong inventory control and stock reconciliation knowledge
  • Proven leadership experience within end-to-end manufacturing and planning operations
  • Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of OEE, Lean principles and waste reduction techniques
  • Experience identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems

Beneficial

  • Experience in forecasting, master production scheduling and reducing scheduling variances
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP or CLTD)
