Johnson Controls Frome is a high-pressure diecasting foundry, manufacturing sprinkler frames for the global market. We are looking for a Manufacturing Operative to join our team on a continental shift pattern. This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, where safety, quality, and teamwork are key to our success. You will work a 12-hour continental shift pattern (4 on / 4 off, including night rotation).

What You Will Do

  • Work as part of a shift team to manufacture components in line with the production plan
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively
  • Carry out checks to ensure product quality meets required standards
  • Support smooth production flow by highlighting issues and helping reduce downtime
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
  • Follow all site and group Environment, Health & Safety policies and procedures

How You Will Do It

  • Work safely at all times, following training and site procedures
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors on shift
  • Take responsibility for your own tasks while supporting the wider team
  • Identify and report hazards, unsafe practices, or quality concerns
  • Contribute to a positive, cooperative team environment focused on continuous improvement
