What you will do
As a Senior HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and designing HVAC systems, including equipment specification, sizing, and estimating for ASHPs, ventilation systems, and mechanical plant rooms. You will also provide technical support during the pre-bid process, ensuring HVAC solutions meet customer expectations and tender specifications.

How you will do it
-
Analyze enquiry specifications, drawings, and associated documents to determine the exact scope of HVAC projects.

Provide expert support in equipment selection, project estimating, and production of quotations and tender packages, in collaboration with the field sales department.

Perform full design and costing of HVAC solutions, including the calculation of cooling load or air volume requirements and the selection of primary and supporting plant.

Re-design mechanical plant rooms to accommodate ASHPs and develop full ventilation system designs.

Create supporting drawings/diagrams and control system functional descriptions relevant to the HVAC solution.

Assess logistical and installation requirements, including conducting practical risk assessments.

Attend on-site reviews with suppliers and contractors, providing technical expertise during the execution of projects.
What we look for
Required

Proven experience in design and estimating within an HVAC environment.

Working knowledge of mainstream HVAC systems and networks.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC solutions.

Previous experience with Hydronic Systems.

Good understanding of engineering drawings (mechanical and electrical).

Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services or equivalent industry experience.

Ability to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred

Experience of VRF systems.
