What You Will Do
Johnson Controls is looking for a Fire Extinguisher Service Engineer to join our team on-site in Ashford, Kent. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and replacing portable fire extinguishers and associated equipment in line with British Standards and company procedures. You’ll ensure compliance, provide excellent customer service, and maintain safety standards at all times. This role is ideal for someone self-motivated, detail-oriented, and confident working independently in a fixed site environment.

How You Will Do It
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of portable fire extinguishers
- Inspect and maintain a range of fire safety equipment to ensure compliance with current regulations (BS5306)
- Accurately complete service paperwork and reports on-site
- Communicate with the client team to ensure satisfaction and resolve queries professionally
- Participate in a site-specific call-out rota, if applicable
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety legislation and Johnson Controls’ safety standards
- Represent Johnson Controls positively and professionally, promoting our values and delivering excellent service
What We Look For
- Previous experience servicing fire extinguishers (ideally BS5306 qualified)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential, for initial training/travel if required)
- Ability to work independently in a static, site-based role
- High attention to detail and commitment to health & safety
- Additional fire protection system experience (e.g. fire blankets, hose reels) is desirable but not essential – training can be provided
